CHILDREN'S CLASSES
Group/Private Lessons Available
Our children’s classes are all designed specifically for the
grade level and individual needs of participants. Whether in Immersion, Core
French, Intensive French or homeschooling, students will receive authentic
instruction in French that delivers results. We also create a portfolio of
students’ work and the curriculum objectives obtained.
ADULT CLASSES
Group/Private Lessons Available
For adults, we offer French classes ranging from beginner to
advanced. To ease the transition through these stages, our program is tailored
to the specific needs of students at each level. We pride ourselves on
streamlining the learning process for our students. For instance,
Beginners require more assistance in the early stages. With two instructors assigned to one class, students have access to the best-of-both-worlds:
1.) clear instruction in English
2.) authentic practice in French
LEVELS
beginner, intermediate and advanced
French levels at Word Nerd range from beginner to advanced. All levels are calibrated on an international standard, so you know your exact level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2) for corresponding programs worldwide. Please contact us for more information on levels and the time required to achieve them.
PLACEMENT TESTS
cOMPLiMENTARY YET cOMPULSORY
To ensure placement in the most appropriate level, students
with a basis in French undergo a compulsory
yet complimentary language assessment before
classes start.
GROUP CLASSES
FIXED SCHEDULE
Group classes run for seven weeks and obtain fixed objectives outlined at the beginning of each level and session. Students are responsible for attending scheduled group classes. As an extra service, however, we are pleased to provide, at no additional cost, one catch-up class for planned absences indicated at the time of registration. Please contact us for further policy information on cancellations and rescheduling.
PRIVATE CLASSES
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE, Individual Attention
Word Nerd offers private classes to accommodate busy lives and various French needs. Each class is specifically designed for you and scheduled at your convenience. You set the time, and we deliver the French!
To share private lessons, please contact us with your requests. Various size groups are possible:
One-person private: $50/hour
Two-person private: $34 person/hour
Three-person private: $27 person/hour
Four-person private: $23 person/hour

Monthly payments and scheduling for private classes must be completed, via email or in person, on or before the first class of every month. Scheduling changes are possible. Please contact us for further policy information on cancellations and rescheduling.

EXTRA EXERCISES
cOMPLIMENTARY SERVICE
Word Nerd will shortly be offering its students extra lessons and exercises
online to reinforce what they learn in class. Students can access these lessons
from anywhere with an assigned password.

All classes run for seven weeks and follow the public school
calendar year for 2010, so parents can take holidays when their children do.
